1970 AMC/Rambler Any - 1970 AMC AMX

1970 AMC AMX for sale in Allentown, Pa. I've had this 1970 390 AMX since 1977 when I bought it with on 7000 original miles. Since I owned it, it has always been kept in a garage and now has 25K miles. I'm selling it because I no longer have time to drive and maintain it... I would like to see it go to someone who can appreciate this rare American car. The car is in excellent condition, runs and drives great. I am the third owner. The history of the car is that it was ordered and bought by a service manager at an AMC dealership; he drove the car for about 5K miles when the engine blew. It was under warranty and the replacement engine was ordered but not installed. The car sat for a few years until the second owner brought it back to original condition; there was never any body damage or rust. A year after I owned it, I decided to repaint it to a non-standard color (something I'd regret later!); the original color was golden lime metallic (90A). Aside from the paint, I installed factory air conditioning, changed the wheels, steering wheel, shifter and radio. I sold the original parts and I also regret this! I never drove it as a daily car but I did drive it more often until about 1982. After that I registered the car as a classic and drove it less each year. In getting it ready for sale, I had it serviced: state inspection, brake cylinders replaced, tune up, fluids/filter replaced and new tires. I have the factlory order form for the Kenosha plant, the window sticker, the owners manual packet and a 1970 AMC sales brochure (the AMX in the brochure is in Golden Lime metallic).
