"Rare" 1918 Paige "Six-39" Linwood Touring 5 Passenger

"RARE" 1918 Paige Six-39 Linwood Five Passenger Touring Car W/ 117" Wheelbase. A complete and very expensive restoration finished after 2 years in 1994 .Powered by an "Inline" six cylinder/ 3 spd. orig. wood wheels, running boards, leather interior and much more !! Very little wear since restored. Still shows very well and is a sure "show winner" !!! !! Excellent detail work in original brass , very original in appearance as is the rest of the fine restoration . Has correct 6 cyl. motor w/ matching Vin # on the car. This Paige Six-39 Linwood has taken several * tours in the upper Midwest including Canada...... The Page Six-39 Linwwod was purchased by Mr. Cal Johnson of South Dakota in 1962...he purchased this as a complete car in running condition. After an "expensive" , 2 yr. restoration process the car was finished in 1994. Cal was one of the founding members of the "Horseless Carriage Club" in South Dakota and Iowa. Truly amazing...It was a well-proportioned car for the times.A true , "Brass era"/ luxury classic for you to treasure and enjoy !! ..... In contrast to earlier print ads that may have shown a family in its stylish Paige at the seaside, by summer a Paige-Detroit ad showed smiling military officers in a Paige touring car with barracks in the distant background. In the ad Paige-Detroit encouraged the business executive to buy a Paige auto as his contribution to the war effort, because it would free him from slowly moving, congested public transport. In a leap of advertising logic, thus would the businessman's auto contribute to the speed of developing the country's industrial strength, which was necessary to exert its full military strength on the battlefields of Europe. This was not the time, the company asserted, for "parsimonious hoarding that leads to industrial stagnation and inertia".
I ship at discount rate to your door anywhere in the world.....Runs and drives excellent !! Financing for U.S. customers with approved credit up to 60 months w/ NO "pre-payment" penalties of any kind. A 20 % min. down payment is required. $38,500.00

Offered publicly for the first time in over 40 years, this 1934 Bugatti Type 57, serial number 57195, represents one of the earliest known Type 57’s available.

Finished in its elegant Gangloff coachwork as a “Stelvio”, 57195 represents a well cared for example with strong ownership history. More recently there has been much invested in sorting and cosmetic updates, all completed by well known marque specialists. Culminating into one very nice “driver quality” example that could certainly qualify as a number 2- condition quality car. Noticeable throughout are many proper features of originality; including proper dash instruments, Marchal head lamps, fog lights, and trafficators to mention a few.

This opportunity presents a very well cared for example that will not disappoint, and could be an easy invitee to many concours events. We ask those interested to please contact us for thorough details and photos.

1928 Willys Whippet Model 96

History:
Willis was the brand name used by Willys-Overland Motors, an American automobile company best known for its design and production of military Jeeps and civilian versions during the 20th century.
In 1926, production of the Overland ended and was replaced by the Whippet brand of small cars. The Willys Whippet Model 96 was produced from 1926 to 1928 and the Willys Whippet Model 96A was produced from 1929 to 1931. John N. Willys intended the Whippet to be a new brand for light, fast, economical, stylish, and inexpensive cars. Unlike the Fords, the Whippet had four wheel brakes, a water pump, and forced lubrication. The body was compact as well as roomy. The relatively low-hung car had good cornering and the light weight provided both gas mileage and speed.
Following the stock-market crash of 1929 and the economic depression that soon followed, a number of Willys automotive brands began to falter. The Willys Whippet Model 96 was produced from 1926 to 1928 and the Willys Whippet Model 96A was produced from 1929 to 1931. The Willys Whippet production ended in 1931, its models replaced by the Willys Six and Eight.

1929 Willys Overland Model 96-A "Whippet"4dr. Sedan. A 1974 restoration still very nice and a turn key driver !! Powered by a "rare" 173.3 C.I./ 50 H.P. Inline "sliding / sleeve 6 cyl. w/ 3 spd. trans. Still sharp "Burgundy finish w/ black fenders and accent trim. The refurbished Gray interior is still very nice and appears "era correct". This car has been in a private home for it's early life and then on loan to a museum for a number of years well maintained and cared for, now ready to find a new home !! Sale priced @ 36,875.00 Call Chris Quinn @ (605)201-2109 for more details on financing and "discount" shipping worldwide...... History : The Whippet name appeared quietly as a four-cylinder model in 1927. The little 30hp car was just over 12 feet long--the smallest car in America--so when Willys introduced ** a stretched 40hp, sleeve-valve six-cylinder a few months later, it was a lively performer. It soon became a lively seller as well, when Willys offered a six-cylinder model 93-A roadster for $695, the world's lowest-priced six. From 1928 through the stock market crash, times were as good as they'd ever get for Willys. The Whippet six-cylinder proved itself both swift and trustworthy in numerous trials and endurance runs, and put the company in third place behind Ford and Chevrolet. There was more to the Whippet than a pretty face. As compact as the crankshaft for the 178.3-cu.in. engine was, it was supported by seven main bearings, and sent alloy Nelson Bohnalite Invar strut pistons stroking through 3-7/8 inches of travel. It featured pressure lubrication to everywhere but the piston pins, and an adjustable timing chain. Whippets grew with the times, so within a couple of years, they had 50 hp and could ride on a wheelbase longer than the entire 1927 car. "also email a video"

1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe $39,500 –Dunlap, TN

The model A has been a favorite of hot rodders for many years. This model A is a very tasteful mix between originality and a custom show car. This car maintains its fenders, hood, lights and bumpers to give that original look, but having all the upgrades of a modern, comfortable, good driving car. Rarely do you find a car of this caliber with 1,205 miles.
This 1931 Model A is all steel and apparently original steel at that with no visible patch panels. We left underneath that car free of any paint or undercoating so nothing was covered up and the integrity of all metal could be fully appreciated.
The body is straight and slick with show quality paint. Every compartment is well done and highly detailed from the engine compartment to the trunk. All bright work is very good and there is plenty of chrome and polished aluminum from the engine compartment to the rear bumper of the car. The firewall is mirror finish and with all of the polished parts on the engine it looks very impressive.
In the passenger compartment you find power windows, tilt wheel, cruise control, and A/C coming from a real oak wood dash with VDO gauges, chrome steering column, leather wrapped aluminum steering wheel, tinted windows, AM/FM CD player but maintains original chrome interior door handles and chrome fold out windshield hardware.
This is a very well built car and it steers, brakes and handles that way. The body is very tight with all caps being even and doors close with ease. Power comes from a 350 C.I Chevy engine and a turbo 400 automatic transmission. Brakes are power front disc and drum rear. Rear-end is a 9” Ford. This car runs as good as it looks.

931 Ford Coupe

Classic car, excellent condition, ready to go and always maintained well by owner. Everything original, has 12volt system, runs excellent The Ford Model A of 1928–1931 (also colloquially called the A-Model Ford or the A, and A-bone among rodders and customizers) was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A (a previous model had used the name in 1903–1904) was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors, but not black.

By 4 February 1929, one million Model As had been sold, and by 24 July, two million. The range of body styles ran from the Tudor at US$500 (in grey, green, or black) to the Town Car with a dual cowl at US$1200. In March 1930, Model A sales hit three million, and there were nine body styles available.

The Model A was produced through 1931. When production ended in March, 1932, there were 4,849,340 Model As made in all styles. Its successor was the Model B, which featured an updated 4-cylinder engine, followed by the Model 18 which introduced Ford's new flathead (sidevalve) V8 engine.

1931 Ford Woodie Delivery Station Wagon 255A-V8 The right parts after years of collection produced and extremely high caliber 50’s style vehicle with superb styling, design, and finish. The Pro Built body is made of the exact types of wood Henry used. The sub floor is white oak, the plywood is 7 layer spiral cut non-seamed birch and the remaining trim wood is hard maple. The stain is a very light mellow, natural tone. The finish is a 2 part Fuller Plast epoxy urethane, 1-1 mix, which gives a very high build of clear depth on the wood, filling the grain in entirely. This enables it to be block sanded out whip straight, giving it an extremely durable yet flexible finish. The moldings on the Woodie body are 1932 Ford style. The rear fender moldings which would normally have finger joints are each sawn out of 1 piece of wood into 1/8” strips that are steam bent around a buck jig. Each piece is numbered, then put back together so the grain matches. This gives the final effect of one piece of wood wrapping around the rear fenders. The body has also been shortened in length by approximately 6”, which produces handsome flowing lines that bring the body to life. The door jambs are just as meticulously cleared and sanded as the outside of the body. All exterior metal is painted in PPG Concept urethane and buffed to a flawless finish. The all one piece top is German Haartz cloth. It’s all original Woodie cowl section has been chopped 2 ¼” with a 1932 metal header atop the crown and a 1932 dashboard that has been augmented into the cowl. Upon the deuce dash in an original Stewart-Warner marine instrument panel filled with Stewert-Warner Winged gauges. The steering column mount is an English Matchless motorcycle connecting rod, chrome plated, as are the 2 pistons – one on top the gear shift lever and one on the directional. The steering column is from a 1956 Ford pick up, as is the steering wheel. The custom made console holds and AM/FM/CD quadraphonic stereo system. Also included are switches for the 2 speed self parking windshield wiper, electric fuel pump, electric fan override, and front and rear dome light. The interior is lavishly wrapped in Burgandy Italian Calfskin leather. The headliner is all one piece, which drapes down to a Tropical Hawaiian theme in a layered dimensional mural of mountains, ocean, and palm trees. This encircles the rear interior. The rear storage area opens to encase the spare tire, jack and jack handle. This area also gives access to the lift out filler hatch for the cap to the gas tank. The rear seat is from a Ford Pinto station wagon, which folds down and enlarges the cargo area to give it a Phantom look. The front seats are from a Fiero with the headrest removed. They not only adjust forward and backward, but also recline for maximum comfort and room. The engine is a 1950 Mercury Flathead V-8 with a polished Edelbrock High Rise intake manifold, and 2 fully polished Stromberg 97 carburetors. An extremely rare Tommy Thickston air cleaner is the crowning jewel. It has polished Edelbrock heads, a Mallory ignition, and chrome headers which flow back into stainless steel polished exhaust that carries a mellow tune. The internals of the engine are 3 5/16 Ross pistons and rings, Manley stainless steel hi-flow intake and exhaust valves, and Johnson adjustable lifters. There is a 4” stroke on the crank. To help it breathe it is ported, relieved, and polished. The stock flywheel is lightened 5 pounds and carries an 11” truck clutch. Sitting behind that is a 39 Ford transmission. The Model A drive shaft is connected to a 32 rear end. Mr. Roadster chrome plated coil overs with an anti sway bar round out the rear suspension. The front suspension consists of a chrome 4” magnum dropped axle with stainless steel shackles, Deuce Factory 4 bar suspension, 48 Ford spindles, Deuce Factory stainless steel drag link and tie rod. The walker radiator and electric fan help keep it cool. The grill is 1932 Ford with stainless steel teeth. On all four corners are chrome plated 1948 Ford backing plates in conjunction with 1959 Buick Fully polished aluminum drums. BF Goodrich Silver town Big/Littles rubber wrap around 1935 Ford wire wheels. The car has never been shown. It only has a few test miles on it and it is stored in a heated garage. It was just completed in September of 2011. The same owner has held it for 20 years with clear Wisconsin title. $89,900.00 Craig (920)788-0289
